Whilst we recommend the VWR Lower Engine Mount upgrade alone for road cars, to harness more significant power increases and transfer that power to the track, this full Uprated Drivetrain Mount Set is essential to give a much more solid drive, and crucially add durability to any hard-driven car.
The whole engine and gearbox (the drivetrain) is located in just three places. The two upper mounts support the entire weight of the engine/gearbox, plus a third Lower Mount underneath the engine.
The full VWR Uprated Drivetrain Mount Set are a CNC-machined, fully engineered replacement set of three mounts designed to greatly decrease engine and transmission movement, ensuring clean transfer of power to the track.

When our friends at Skoda UK build their land-speed record Octavia VRS, their 600+bhp 2.0 TSI engine needed some pretty special components to support an effort like this. They fitted all three VWR Uprated Drivetrain Mounts (along with a number of other parts sourced via the RacingLine range), and went on to secure their world land-speed record of 227mph.
Harnessing this sort of speed, power and temperatures was no doubt one of the toughest tests that our mounts have been put to – but they kept the drivetrain in check throughout the life of the car, with not a single failure, and no maintenance or replacement needed. So, we can confidently state that our mounts are the fastest 2.0 engine mounts in the world!
